Room 518/520, Tuesday Evening

Bel paced the suite, wondering where Phoebe was. He hadn't seen her all day. He'd checked Lana's room but no one was there -- at least no one answered when he knocked. No one was in Piper's room either, or Veronica's, when he'd checked them.

The kittens stared at him angrily, hissing if he paced too close. Great. They were pissed off at him, too.

"She somehow turned into a mermaid!" Piper said, getting right to the point. "And it's all your fault!"

"Mermaid?" Bel repeated. "How the hell is that my fault? What did she do?"

"She cast a spell to find out what you are hiding from her," Piper sighed. "And it backfired..."

[demonbelthazor]

"She what?" Bel exclaimed. "That's personal gain...no wonder it backfired. And it turned her into a mermaid? Why a mermaid?"

"I don't know," Piper said, her voice now filled with frustration. "I thought you might know."

"I've never dealt with mermaids before," Bel said. "They're not demons. Is there anything about them in the Book of Shadows?"

Piper nodded. "According to the book, mermaids have cold hearts and have no concept of human emotions."

"They can't resist the freedom of the ocean," she added warily.

"She cast a spell to find out what I was hiding and instead it's hidden her own heart from her," Bel said. "Now that's ironic. How do we reverse it?"

"I don't know," Piper admitted. "I'm still trying to figure that out. Maybe change her original spell a little so it reverses everything?"

"Do you have the spell?" Bel asked. "I can check the Underworld to see if there are any spells to change a Mermaid to human...."

"That's the problem. I don't have the original spell and Lana couldn't remember it word for word," Piper sighed. "I need to get the spell from Phoebe. And we are not using evil spells from the Underworld on my sister!"

"Where is she now?" Bel asked. "I'll find her. I'll talk to her."

"You might make things worse!"

[demonbelthazor]

"How is it going to make things worse?" Bel said.

[absolutesnark]

"Lana said she's at Selkie Cove...at least she was there," Piper told him reluctantly. It couldn't get worse, could it?

"I'll go look for her," Bel said, shimmering out before Piper could protest.

Piper just glared and hoped he didn't actually make things worse.
