Bel was getting ready for the road trip to pick up Marie. He was angry that he couldn't just shimmer to the train station and pick her up. Faster, safer, but he couldn't do that anymore. It didn't add to the helplessness he was feeling.

Skipping out of Pop Culture and avoiding Marty, however? That he could deal with.

Phoebe nodded and hugged him again. "I can only imagine, sweetheart."

"I've been a demon all my life, I don't know how to deal with not being one," Cole said, frustrated.

Phoebe hugged him.

"I'll help you, love. We'll find a way."

"Can you love an ordinary man as much as a magical one?" Cole asked quietly.

Phoebe blinked at him. That had been a question she had never expected.

"I love you, Cole. Magical or not, that doesn't change the man you are -- or the man I fell in love with."

The reassurance felt good. "Just needed to hear it, I guess," he said a little gruffly, hugging her close.

"I love you sweetheart. And I'll keep telling you that as many times as you need to hear it."

"Thanks," he said softly, feeling very foolish.
