Bel knew Phoebe had a first period class on Mondays. However, he was going to do his best to keep her in bed to skip it.

He should probably tell her about the fact that Nadia felt what he felt, and vice versa. It wasn't just Anders. So that probably meant that Alanna, Bridge, Blair, Wilson, Phale . . . okay, that was just so wrong.

Phoebe snuggled close to Cole. Her eyes were still closed and she was doing her best to stay asleep and warm in bed.

"Mmmmm, snuggly," Cole said sleepily.

"Snuggly good," Phoebe murmured.

"Stay in bed all day?" Cole said plaintively.

Phoebe snuggled close. "I wish I could. I have three classes today."

"No," Cole said sulkily.

"I would much rather stay here with you all day, love. But class..."

[demonbelthazor]

"All right," Cole sighed, pouting. He was quiet for a moment, stroking her hair, and then said, "Umm, you know that bond thing with Anders? It might be bigger than we thought."

"But we'll be going to New York for the weekend," she reminded him. She kissed his chest and then his next words penetrated her sleepy fog. "What do you mean"

"NadiacanfeelwhatIfeeltoo," he mumbled into her hair.

"I'm sorry, I didn't hear that."

"Nadia can feel what I feel, too," Cole sighed. "She felt it when I got shot Friday."

Oops, he'd kinda neglected to tell her about that.

Phoebe sat up. "You got shot?!"

Cole winced. "Yeah," he said. "Logan shot me."

"I see," Phoebe said in a deceptively calm voice. "Logan shot you and you were planning on telling me this when?"

She might have been planning revenge.

"It slipped my mind?" Cole said. He took Phoebe's hand and put it on his chest. "But look, I'm fine!" he said. "I healed just like in the clinic."

Phoebe pulled the covers back to look at his chest closely.

"Not even a mark... but he could have killed you."

"Takes a lot more than someone like Logan to kill me," Cole said, more than just a trace of scorn in his voice.

"Not Logan... but the gun, Cole!" Phoebe might have been working herself into a bit of a panic.

Cole wrapped his arms around her. "I'm fine, sweetheart," he said. "I'm okay. Don't worry."

Phoebe was shaking. "I won't lose you again, Cole. I won't."

"You're not going to lose me," Cole assured her. "I promise." He tried to switch the subject back. "So, about people feeling what I feel. . . ."

"Please be more careful," she begged. "We don't know if this healing thing is permanent or temporary."

"I will," Cole said. "You were right, I should've called first," he said.

Phoebe hugged him tightly. "I love you and I just don't want to lose you again." She tried to take a steadying breath. "What did Angel say?"

"He was suspicious at first," Cole admitted. "But he was glad to see me."

Phoebe sighed. "I'm glad he was happy to see you. But Logan shot you, still. Why did he let Logan shoot you?"

Cole frowned. "He was a little occupied at that particular moment."

[sensethevisions]

"Do I even want to know?"

[demonbelthazor]

Cole made a face. "No, you don't," he said.

Phoebe winced. "Ah. Okay."

Cole looked his girlfriend over to get the nauseating image of Angel and Logan out of his head. "So," he said carefully. "Bond."

"Bondage, yes. What's going on?"

"It's not just Anders," Cole said. "Nadia can feel me too. I don't know about the others, but. . . ."

"... You're joking."

[demonbelthazor]

Cole shook his head. "She felt it when I got shot, and she was complaining last night that she felt . . . other things."

Phoebe groaned. "How many others are feeling... you know?"

"I don't know yet," Cole said. "It's kinda hard to figure out how to ask."
