The demon was strong, and Bel could feel Phoebe slipping out of his grasp. And he couldn't conjure up a fireball without letting go of one of her hands.

He had to take the risk. "Three...two...one," he said, then let go of Phoebe with his right hand while simultaneously summoning a fireball. Still holding Phoebe as tightly as he could with his left hand, the threw the fireball at the demon. It exploded with enough force to send them flying across the alley.

It also splattered them with a lot of green goo.
