A quiet Sunday night had been rudely interrupted when Phoebe had gotten a premonition of a demon attacking someone, so Bel had shimmered her to the location in her vision so they could stop it from happening.

"You sure this is the place?" he said, looking around the alley. He didn't see anything, but he did get the feeling they were being watched.

Over the years, she and Cole had found themselves in many strange situations and many times they had been close to death. With all of that, he could still find ways to surprise her.

Still it was a good surprise and she couldn't help grinning at him.

"Slime covered and all?"

"Well, I figured we'd get cleaned up before the actual ceremony," Bel said, grinning right back. "I actually do have a ring, just not on me right now."

"Yeah, getting cleaned up, first, would probably be a good idea," Phoebe said laughing. "I love you, Cole. I always have since we first met, so how could the answer be anything but yes?"

"Dating a demon's one thing," Cole pointed out. "But marrying one...you think the Elders are going to have a fit?"

"The Elders can piss off," Phoebe said succinctly. "I don't care if they like it or not. And with everything they have put us through over the years, they owe us."
