Bel lounged in the living room, wondering when Phoebe was going to get home. She'd left a note that she would be back soon, but not where she was going or what she was doing. Probably another welcome home surprise, he decided with a smile.

The park, Thursday night

After Veronica's phone call, Bel started checking the route from the school to Caritas, desperately searching for Phoebe.

Halfway there, as he hurried through the park, he sensed another demon nearby. Immediately conjuring a fireball, he turned in a circle, scanning the darkness around him.
