Thoughts & Planning - NFB
Jan. 16th, 2006 01:39 pmDr. Wilson was letting Phoebe come home today, but she still was supposed to rest, so Bel had a note to bring to her teachers. His own injuries were healing, but his ribs still hurt like hell. Luckily, Raynor hadn't pressed him about Angelus. But next time he might, so it was all the more important to get Angelus restored, if only to avoid that awkward explanation. Angel being nice to him gave him momentary pause, but he knew it had to be an act to get him to stop trying to bring Angelus back, just like people trying to convince him that Angelus would hurt Phoebe. Those kind of scare tactics didn't work on him.
The attack on Phoebe had sidetracked him from his plans for Angel, so he was eager to return to them. The love spell had gone disasterously wrong, and this next attempt he had some trepidation about...but if it didn't work, "Plan C" should be foolproof. He hoped.
He'd been practicing the spell Alanna had shown him and was getting much better at it. If he had her cord, it probably would be easier; for now he was making do with one he had improvised. With another week of practice, he hoped he could get it right. He had to tweak it, of course, but it should still work.
If Callisto's attitude was any indication, he didn't have to worry about Phoebe thwarting this plan. "Way to alienate your best chance of stopping me, moron," he'd told her. It was to his benefit if people didn't trust Phoebe or take her seriously, but it still bothered him that people had no understanding of their relationship or how they'd agreed to make things work. He did what he had to do, and she did what she had to do to stop him, but no matter what, their love was strong enough to survive it. Easy to say, harder to do.
