Belthazor/Cole Turner
For Bel, I direct you here. Not much has changed since I wrote that up. Bel's a half demon with a human soul, trying to atone for his evil past, in love with a witch who should be his mortal enemy, and has a hopeless crush on his hero, Angel. ;)
Dr. Ellie Arroway
Ellie in canon: Eleanor Ann Arroway is best decribed as "brilliant, driven, a major pain in the ass, and obsessed with a field of study tantamount to professional suicide." She has long believed in life in outer space even though her quest to find it was ridiculed by "serious" scientists. During the events of the movie "Contact," she discovered a signal from another world that once decoded revealed blueprints to a Machine that took Ellie to the stars. However, to outward appearances, Ellie went nowhere. She had no evidence of her journey, and most people believed her either insane or a liar. Suddenly Ellie had to rely on faith instead of science, which changed her whole worldview.
Ellie at FH: The aliens she encountered have sent her to Fandom to learn more about other forms of life. Her mind is more open now to magic and the supernatural and things that have no concrete evidence, but she's still a scientist and wants to see things with her own eyes. She's completely geeky about astronomy and can babble for hours about it if no one stops her. She also has her eyes open toward starting some sort of romantic relationship with an eligible man, or, since she's Jodie Foster, woman.
Christian Troy
Christian in canon: Wikipedia has a good summary here and of Nip/Tuck here. Basically, Christian is a sex-addicted, perfection-obsessed plastic surgeon and archetype of the tall, dark, handsome playboy. He seduces and sleeps with women, then casts them off. He has no problem with playing with a woman's self-esteem to drum up business for himself and his partner and best friend, Sean. He's a bastard, but not a complete one -- he's devoted to Sean and Sean's family, which includes Matt, the son he only recently discovered he fathered during a one-night stand with Sean's wife, Julia, the one woman Christian has ever truly loved. He also has a huge soft spot for children, being an abused child himself.
The third season of Nip/Tuck saw Christian getting attacked by the Carver; accused of being the Carver; discovering and being rejected by his birth mother; finding out his birth father was a rapist; and his fiancee, Kimber, being horribly multilated by the Carver and, after Christian fixed her, leaving him. Needless to say, he needed a vacation.
Christian at FH: So after the events of season three, Christian was in desperate need of a break and stumbled across the opportunity to help staff the FTEC at Fandom. He took the job as a way to get out of Miami for the summer and forget about things. And despite recent trauma, he's still an arrogant oversexed anti-christ. ;)
If you have any wish to talk to any of these three or to brainstorm any plots, feel free to ping me on AIM at Belthazor FH, or you can usually find me hanging out in the chat room during the evening (USA EST timezone). Despite Bel's generally cranky mood, I'm very nice and sweet. ;)
. . . shut up. I am too.
