Room 201, Sunday morning

Bel groaned as he slowly came awake. His head was throbbing, and his body ached from all the fighting he'd been doing yesterday. He'd let his guard down for just one minute and a troll had hit him over the back of the head. Great.

His memory was pretty hazy about the events of the previous day. Lots of fighting. Trolls? What he did know was that there was a warm body beside him, and he threw a possessive arm around it. Mine.

Anders mumbled sleepily, and Bel frowned in confusion. Not Phoebe. Phoebe missing. Memory started to penetrate the fog in his brain. She was missing. He had to find her. Trolls had her. Make them pay.

He growled and kicked Anders out of the bed. "Coffee," he croaked. He had to clear his head first and then see if anyone knew more about what was going on.

Anders had been in the middle of some bizarre dream involving Kara Thrace, a tent city, a river, and a priest when he hit the floor and woke up partway.

"Okay, okay," he mumbled, still mostly asleep. "Lords, just 'cause we're married now doesn't mean y'get to kick me out of bed."

"Yeah," Anders said groggily, rolling over. "Don't you remember coming back really early this morning and dragging me to the priest?"

"The one you dragged me to this morning! Look, are you having second thoughts already? Because if you are --" Anders sat up, blinked twice, and finally processed his surroundings. "Oh, thank gods, it's you."

"Kara Thrace? I, um." Anders rubbed a hand over his eyes. "Weird dream. That's all. But did you have to kick me out of my own frakkin' bed?"

"You kick me out of my own bed and then demand coffee?" Anders complained, even though he was already getting up and shuffling over to the coffeemaker. "If you'd actually gone through with the wedding I'd say you had the right to do that, but noooooo . . ."

Anders now with wedding tattoo sighed and tossed a packet of ibuprofen and bottle of water at Bel as he waited for the coffee to finish brewing. "Why I didn't just leave your unconscious ass out there for the trolls to play with is beyond me."

"No double vision?" Anders was trying not to look too closely -- hence the ridiculous amount of attention he was paying to not spilling the cup of coffee that he brought over. "Nausea or anything? We're not going to have to get you to the clinic, are we?"

"You better be right about that," Anders told him. "If you have to end up in the clinic because you aggravated a head injury, I'm kicking your ass. Now drink your damn coffee and let's go."

By the time Bel finished the coffee Anders already had his own shirt and jacket on and the guns, which he hadn't bothered to put back into the weapons locker last night, at the ready. "You get ready quick, don't you? Let's go, then," he replied after having some coffee of his own.
