Wyatt looked around. "Okay, this place doesn't seem so bad so far," he said, half to himself.
"Shut up, dude," Chris hissed. "We don't need to borrow trouble."
"So far," Anders echoed, skepticism evident in his tone. He was still kind of wondering what he was doing here, and what in hell he thought he could possibly contribute that might be useful.
"You okay, dude?" Wyatt said, glancing over at Anders.
"I almost got abducted here," Anders muttered through clenched teeth. "Don't know what the frak I was thinking to come here of my own choice."
Wyatt still was a little squicked by the whole "my aunt's demon boyfriend wanted to make you his loveslave" thing, but he tried not to think about it too hard because Anders was cool and it just made his head hurt. "Might want to stay out of sight if we run into the Source," he said. "You'll probably attract his attention."
"Would you prefer damned souls screaming in torment?" Wyatt shot back.
Chris rubbed his forehead. "We're all gonna die."
"No, we're not," Wyatt said firmly. "We're going to get Aunt Phoebe and vanquish the Source and still get home in time to get our homework done."
Anders tried very hard to banish the sudden thought that popped up in his head about how maybe that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. No. Bad thoughts. Bad idea.
"The paper bag over my head would've been just as obvious," he pointed out.

Alanna had a sword and a scowl. "Love the decor, really."
"I hope you're right," Chris said. "I don't want to die a virgin."
"Dude. TMI," Wyatt said. "But we can find someone to take care of that problem for you when we get back."
"And you'd run into things," Wyatt added.
"I was expecting just a little more hellfire and brimstone," Wyatt said. "But the flickering torches are a nice touch."
"Run a spooky sound track, and you're all set for Halloween." Alanna said with a very forced smile.
"And I'd -- hey!"
Now was not the sort of situation where poking people in the arm was highly appropriate. This didn't stop Anders from doing just that.

Chris rolled his eyes. "It's not a problem," he argued. "Just because I don't try to score with every girl I meet doesn't mean there's something wrong with me."
Yeah, Chris's priorities were totally in the right place.

Wyatt shrugged. "It's not every girl," he said in mild protest. "And you don't know what you're missing."
There was a time and a place for everything.
So of course Wyatt poked Anders back.
