"So far," Anders echoed, skepticism evident in his tone. He was still kind of wondering what he was doing here, and what in hell he thought he could possibly contribute that might be useful.

"I almost got abducted here," Anders muttered through clenched teeth. "Don't know what the frak I was thinking to come here of my own choice."

Wyatt still was a little squicked by the whole "my aunt's demon boyfriend wanted to make you his loveslave" thing, but he tried not to think about it too hard because Anders was cool and it just made his head hurt. "Might want to stay out of sight if we run into the Source," he said. "You'll probably attract his attention."

Anders tried very hard to banish the sudden thought that popped up in his head about how maybe that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. No. Bad thoughts. Bad idea.

"The paper bag over my head would've been just as obvious," he pointed out.

Now was not the sort of situation where poking people in the arm was highly appropriate. This didn't stop Anders from doing just that.

Anders poked him right back again. It was easier than having to think about what they'd have to be doing really soon.

Anders snorted and attempted to poke him again. "Safe poker."
