Suite 518/520, Monday morning

Despite not having class until fourth period, Bel was up earlier, waiting for Isabel to come by. He'd fed the cats, made breakfast, and was now lounging on the couch, flipping through the channels on the TV until he found Enchanted reruns. The fact that it was the vampire episode didn't influence his decision to stay on that channel, not at all.

"Alphabetically or chronologically?" Alanna asked, still cheerful.

"Whatever it was, I didn't do it," Bel grumbled.

Alanna shrugged. "But it made me feel better. So how are you?"

"Uh, okay I guess," Bel said. He eyed Faithful. "Do you have any idea what her problem is this morning?"

Faithful shrugged and made himself more comftorable on Alanna's shoulder. "She's a human girl, stop expecting logic." Alanna rolled her eyes. "Never ask Faithful for any kind of advice."

"So are you just going door to door slapping people or did you want something?" Bel asked, keeping an eye on Alanna's hands.

"Well, I do have a list." Alanna said with a grin.

"Does this fall under duties of the class president?" Bel asked.

"Nope. I'd be nice if it did." Alanna said thoughtfully.

Bel rolled his eyes. "Girls are weird."

"You just noticed." Alanna beamed.

"So do you actually want something or did you just show up to harrass me?" Bel said.

"It's an either or situation?" Alanna asked innocently. "Just wanted to see how you were."

"Uh huh," Bel said. "I'm okay, I guess. Trying to help Phoebe deal with this whole possession thing, which is kinda ironic."

Alanna snorted. "That it is. How are you dealing?"

"I'm worried about her blaming herself. And I'm going to kick Anders's ass," Bel said.

Alanna bit her lip. "Can't help you with the first, but why are you 'kicking Anders's ass'?"

"He --" Bel wasn't sure how much he wanted to get into this. "He did something he really shouldn't have done."

Alanna rolled her eyes. "Want me to add him to my 'to slap' list? I don't remember why half the people are on it anyway."

"Slap away," Bel said. "So you gonna tell me why I was on the list or have you forgotten that, too?"

Alanna took a moment to consider the question. "I think there was a bit about me getting to play fetch with a tongue because you got yourself possessed and then killed." She paused. "I think things kinda blured there. Oh! And you made me worry! And you're a guy!"

"Fair enough," Bel said, ducking his head. "I deserve worse. Except for the guy part, because I happen to like that."

"It was mostly not your fault." Alanna pointed. "Except the guy part, totally your fault there."

"That was my parents' fault," Bel said.
