Pixie Cabin, Alcoves A3/A4

Moving was infinitely easier when you could shimmer. Bel gathered up a couple bags of stuff (mostly Phoebe's) and a carrier for the cats, then headed over to the Senior Cabin. He claimed A3 and A4 for him and Phoebe, and of course immediately set about dragging the bed from A4 to A3 and pushed it together with the bed originally in A3. It didn't leave much room in the rest of the alcove, but no way was he going to spend three weeks in a single bed.

[For la girlfriend, any other seniors in the building, or anyone who wants to poke their head in for that matter. Mother's Day is done! Almost. So I can breath again. Frakking flowers.]

"Sorry," Anders added sheepishly. "Make it up to you too, promise."

Phoebe was having a hard time controlling her giggles as she took Cole's hand. She knew that Cole could tell that she wasn't upset but poor Anders...

"You'll make it good, right?" she asked him, teasing him a little more.

"If he makes you cry, I'll kick his ass," Bel offered.

"Hey!" Anders objected, poking him in the side. "I'm so not going to -- you're winding me up, aren't you?"

Phoebe lost control and leaned against Cole, giggling. "Oh, Anders... that look..."

Bel snickered. "It's a good look on him."

Anders's lower lip was sticking out as he looked at both of them with his best sad-puppy face. "'s not fair to gang up on me and tease me so much," he said, although the affection was evident in his voice.

Phoebe was so not buying the sadness.

"Totally fair because at some point the two of you will gang up on me."

She grinned at both of them.

Cole eyed Phoebe. "Is that wishful thinking talking?" he teased.

Anders raised an eyebrow. "Or a suggestion?"

Phoebe blushed bright red. "I wasn't trying... I mean I didn't mean to try to get you guys to... I think I hear someone calling me." She looked towards the door as if she was going to try to escape this conversation.

"Well, we'll have this nice king-sized bed in Venice," Bel mused.

"Besides, it's not like I haven't thought about it a few times," Anders added.

Totally feigning innocence.

Really.

Because that worked so well.

Phoebe looked from one to the other, then looked at Cole, trying to see if they were serious.

She might have thought about it, but had never wanted to upset either one of them by voicing the idea.

"Guess we'll just have to see," Bel said.

"We can talk you into it," Anders teased him. "We have our ways."

Phoebe was internally flailing because she didn't want to do anything that might hurt or upset her soulmate.

"Just being together is okay, too," she finally said, looking into Cole's eyes and trying to see if she had upset him.

Cole wasn't really sure what to think right now. It had started as teasing but part of him was starting to get riled up with possessiveness and MINE MINE MINE. "We'll have a good time," he said neutrally, managing a smile to try to ease Phoebe's mind.

"Yeah, we'll have a good time," Anders echoed, fidgeting uncomfortably, and feeling a little guilty about pushing the issue.

When Cole used a neutral tone about anything, it usually meant he was upset, and that meant Phoebe felt like hell for upsetting him.

When she had made the comment about them ganging up on her, she had meant with teasing like they had done to Anders. When Cole and then Anders teased her about it being a hint or a want...

"If we're all moved, then we should go," she said quietly.

They had all been looking forward to this trip and she hoped that it hadn't just been ruined because of their teasing.

Now Cole felt bad for upsetting Phoebe. "We'll have fun, I promise," he said softly, giving her a kiss. He reached for Anders's hand and squeezed it.

Anders squeezed his hand back, giving Bel an apologetic look, and moved over to wrap an arm around Phoebe's shoulders. "I should run back to my cabin for my backpack before we go," he said, "but otherwise I'm all ready."

"My bag is here and packed," she said, leaning into Cole to wrap an arm around him, and squeezing Anders's arm.

"We really need to get away from here for a few days."

"Go get your stuff," Bel said, giving Anders a friendly shove.

"Okay, okay, I'll be right back." Anders disentangled himself from them reluctantly and ran across the campsite to Salamander, returning with a backpack stuffed dangerously close to capacity.

"Ready to get the hell out of here?"
