Wednesday Night, East Attic

After the Attack of the Irate Library Minions, Bel found himself desiring some TLC from his girlfriend. He recalled she had mentioned talking to Piper earlier that day, so he headed up to the East Attic to see if she was still there.

Piper was getting ready to pack for her trip home on Friday when she heard a knock on the door. Her immediate reaction when she saw Belthazor standing there was to glare.

"What do you want?" she asked, anger in her voice.

"Is Phoebe up here?" he asked, looking into the room over Piper's shoulder, oblivious to the angry gleam in her eyes.

"She's not here," Piper said, clearly agitated.

"Damn," he sighed. "Oh well, I'll find her." He paused and looked Piper over. "Something wrong?"

Piper pondered not even bringing up the inicident on Sunday. It's not like Bel was going to be honest with her. But she couldn't let it go. Without a second thought, she reached for his arm and pulled him inside. He was so caught off guard by her actions, he didn't even fight her.

She quickly closed the door before confronting him. "Yes, something is wrong. Someone broke into my room on Sunday and tried to steal the Book of Shadows. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?"

Bel feigned shock. "What? Is the Book okay? It wasn't me, why would I try anything that stupid like that?"

"I know it was you, so drop the innocent act." Piper continued to glare. "My room was locked at the time. Only someone with a teleportation ability could get in. Also, the Book was right out in the open for me to find when I returned. I know you're not stupid enough to do that unless you had to. The Book protects itself. Evil cannot touch it."

She paused. "And I can think of plenty of reasons why you'd want to steal it."

Laughing, Bel said, "You've got no proof. Just some wild accusation." He shook his head. "I am so tired of you women trying to tell me what to do. It's like dealing with a pack of harpies."

Piper smirked. "You seem a bit defensive for someone who's innocent."

[demonbelthazor]

"If you think it was me, what exactly do you intend to do about it?" Bel asked.

[absolutesnark]

"I really think Phoebe should know about this..."

[demonbelthazor]

"Go ahead. Tell her," Bel said. "We have an...understanding."

[absolutesnark]

"What do you mean you have an understanding?" Piper asked. She had a feeling she wouldn't like the answer.

[demonbelthazor]

"I don't have to tell you anything," Bel said. "Why don't you ask her about it? If she wants to tell you, she will."

[absolutesnark]

Piper nodded. "I will definitely ask her about it."

There seemed to be a lot she had to talk to Phoebe about, but for now, she turned her attention back to the Book. "Don't ever break into my room again. I don't want to be forced to vanquish you."

"Sure, whatever," Bel said dismissively. He paused for a moment, then added, "Maybe you should talk to Aziraphale, too."

Piper blinked. "What are you talking about?"

"You heard me," Bel said. "Talk to Aziraphale at the rare books shop. Ask him about me and Phoebe. Might make you understand a bit more."
