Room 518/520, Wednesday morning

Bel woke up with a groan. He rolled over, trying to will the pounding in his head away. His memory was a little hazy, but he remembered drinking to several uncomfortable questions and kissing Veronica and Bridge.

Right now he felt like he wanted to die. Maybe Piper still had some of that vanquish potion left....

"Did you eat a squirrel too?" Xander asks without opening his eyes. Which okay, it's like, *one* cat hair, since we're talking about people who actually clean their room before it gets scary. But Xander has unerring luck with finding such things. He sputters and shifts his arm from around Bridge to wipe at his mouth.

"I don't think so? 'Less there was squirrel in the sushi?" Bridge says. "Heeeey, come back," he mutters plaintively at the loss of contact.

Xander, on hearing 'squirrel' and 'sushi' in the same sentence, turns green. And not an attractive shade, either. "Erk."

"Oops," Bridge mutters. "Forget I said that thing with the thing, 'kay?"

"I can't even remember where we are; forgetting about evilbad mental images shouldn't be too much of a problem." Xander blearily cracks one eye open.

"Onna floor," Bridge says helpfully. "Hi."

"Hi." Xander shifts back to a more comfortable snuggle-position. "...Why?"

"'Cause sake is evil-er than Onyx vodka, s'why," Bridge says.

"Nothing's evil-er than Space Evil," Xander insists. "Well, okay, maybe Angel is, when he's evil."

"I never passed out in someone else's room 'cause of spacevodka though," Bridge insists. "Therefore sake is evil-er."

"I did," Xander points out. "Yours, the first time we played I Never. "

"You did," Bridge says. "And you in my room s'never a bad thing, so therefore sake is eviler." It makes sense. To Bridge. Who is carefully ignoring the part where the Xander-passing-out-in-his-room thing had happened before they were dating.

"Well I guess you would've been colder if I hadn't been in your room, so that cuts some of the evil." It makes sense. To Xander, who's neither awake nor functional enough to figure out that Bridge probably has no idea what he's talking about.

"Y'know, I don't remember a lot of that night but I think I'd remember..." Bridge blinks, confused.

"Well, you were asleep."

"Buh?"

"You were asleep. You looked cold." Xander is under the impression this clarifies things.

"But I woke up by myself..."

Bridge is very confused right now.

"Yeah, I woke up in the middle of the night and figured shower would be good, so I went back to my room." Xander yawns and stretches. "Which... is actually not a bad idea."

"I totally would have noticed if someone was in the bed with me!" Bridge insists. Not all that loudly, but he still manages to make his *own* head hurt.

Xander blinks at him, since his head already hurt and trying to, y'know, think is making it hurt more.

"Well, you *were* pretty drunk, but I'd hope so, yeah. What's that got to do with anything?"

"Dude. I put a blanket over you before I left." Blink. "I freaked out over you kissing me the next night; if I'd woken up in bed with you at that point I'd have flailed myself out of existence."

"Ohhhhh," Bridge nods. "Well, in that case I'm glad you didn't, 'cause I'm rather fond of you existing."

"On the other hand, these days I'm kinda fond of waking up in bed with you." Xander eyes the door. "That could happen, assuming moving's an option."
