Bel woke up before Phoebe and slipped quietly from the bed so as not to disturb her. She'd been sleeping when he got back last night, so she had not been awake to see how wracked with guilt he was about what he had done. He knew he had to tell her, but he didn't want to confess to stealing the amulet for Raynor.

He headed out to the living area and sank down on the couch, his face in his hands. How the hell was he going to get out of this mess?

Phoebe gave a slight smile. "Can I vanquish Seely for saying what he did?"

"Do you really need an excuse to vanquish Seely?" Cole said. "I'm sure Willow would approve."

"She'd probably help." She bit her lip. "Would it cause you pain?"

"Vanquishing Seely? Why would it...? Oh. Umm, well, it's not like you're really going to do it anyway, because he's an innocent, so there's really no point in even thinking about it...." Yes, he may have been babbling a little.

"Because he looks like Angel..." She frowned. "I cold beat him severely, though."
