"Right this way," Bel said, leading Cally into the room. "It's in the bedroom."

Cally chuckled. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you were tryin' to seduce me."

Bel grinned. "Phoebe would kill me," he said.

Not that she wouldn't kill him for what he was really about to do.

"Besides, I know you're hot for my ex, anyways," Cally said with a wink. She looked around. "Where exactly is it?"

Bel almost ran into the doorframe of the bedroom. "What?" he said, trying not to flail.

"Where's the book in the bedroom?" Cally asked, still looking.

"Uh, under the bed, I think," Bel said.

Cally leaned down and looked under the bed and her eyes bugged a bit.

"Okay, I think I spot the book. But is the big long black thing Phoebe's or yours?"

Bel turned a little red. "Uh, just ignore that," he said quickly.

"Yeah, definitely ignoring," Cally said, pulling out the book and plopping it on the bed. "So, what am I looking for?"

"A spell about activating an amulet," Bel said. "A protection spell."

"Oh, cool," Cally said. "Getting the amulet for Phoebe as a present?" She started flipping through the pages.

"Something like that," Bel said vaguely. He briefly thought about telling Cally the truth, that he needed the spell to give to Raynor to protect his father, but he kept his mouth shut.

"Very sweet," Cally said. She flipped through some more pages. "A-ha. Think I found it (http://community.livejournal.com/fhbookofshadows/11118.html)."

Bel grabbed a tablet of paper and peered over Cally's shoulder, hastily writing down the spell. "Yeah, that's it," he said.

"Glad to help," Cally said. "It's what friends are for."

That didn't help the guilt.

"Our little secret, right?" he said, pocketing the spell. "Just put the book back and Phoebe'll never know."

Cally nodded, closing the book and slipping it back under the bed. "She'll never know."

"Thanks, Cally," Bel said. "You're a real lifesaver."

"Just don't attempt to use me as a flotation device," Cally said, standing up. "Back to the common room?"

"Sure, lead the way," Bel said, waving his hand toward the door.

"You just want to look at my ass while I go," Cally said with a wink before heading out of the room.

"Not Anders's, but it'll do." Bel smirked and followed.
