Suite 518/520, Monday afternoon after 6th period

After Pop Culture, Bel returned to his room. He was trying not to think too much about tomorrow and going to the Underworld to rescue his father. Funny how being human really did give him the feeling of butterflies in his stomach.

"Um...no?" she blinked. "Don't tell me you can't eggsit. Although technically it's not considered eggsitting if it's your own egg baby."

"Oh! The egg," Bel said, noticing the lunchbox. "It's my turn already?"

Isabel nodded, "Yes. Cause I'm heading out tonight and I'm not sure when I'm going to get back. I don't want to leave poor little Benjamin all alone."

"Well, what am I going to tell him when he wakes up and asks where his mother is?" Bel said.

"He's a very well adjusted egg," Isabel grinned. "He'll be fine spending quality time with his daddy. Just don't let him watch too much violence on TV okay?"

"Bitterwoman reruns okay?" Bel asked. "I mean, I think he'd get bored by the real kiddie stuff."

"What the hell," she laughed. "We'll just make him cynical at an early age. So you said you called? What's up?"

"I'm going to the Underworld tomorrow," Bel said. "To get my father's soul."

"I see," Isabel said. "You'll need backup?"

"It's gonna be pretty dangerous," Bel said. "I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt...."

"But going by yourself is going to work out just fine? I don't think so," she said. "I told you. I'm in."

Bel nodded. "Phoebe's going to, and Cameron. Aziraphale can send us in."

Isabel blinked, remembering the nice man she met at the Halloween party. "He can?"

"He's an angel," Bel said. "Guess it comes with the package that he can send people to hell."

Well that explained the doubletake when he saw her at the party. "He can send us, but can he get us out? I've got plans for the holiday."

Bel nodded. "He's made arrangements for someone to meet us down there and get us out. I know he wouldn't let us go if he didn't think we could get out okay."

"Okay then. Where and when? And anything special I need to bring with me?" Isabel asked. Other then possibly the boyfriend, who's going to freak when he hears about this.

"Meet in the lobby after classes -- we'll head over to Phale's from there," Bel said. "And...umm...wearsomethingtrashy."

"Excuse me?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. "Trashy?"

"We gotta pass for demons," Bel said. "And demon women usually dress...with not so much on."

Isabel opened her mouth then shut it, pretty sure Bel wouldn't appreciate a lecture on feminism. "Please tell me you're joking."

"It's just the way the Underworld is," Bel said, shrugging helplessly. "I didn't make it that way!"

"And since we don't want to stand out..." Isabel sighed, "I expect a big Christmas present if I'm going to go face off against demons dressed like I was working the street."

"Big present," Bel said solemnly. "You got it."

"Big. With a shiny bow," she nodded. "It's the least you can do for the mother of your child."

"We'll just make sure the child doesn't see what you're wearing tomorrow," Bel teased.

"Let's just hope nobody sees me in it. Thank god, I have a long coat," Isabel said. "I've really got to run and get ready. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"

Bel nodded. "I'll take good care of Benjamin in the meantime," he said. "And...thanks."
