Homecoming

Having decided to go to the homecoming dance after all (instead of brooding in his room, he could brood in a dark corner or something), Belthazor tried to decide what to wear. It was some sort of 80s theme, right? As if he'd get dressed up like that. No, he'd wear his normal clothes.

He wondered if Phoebe would be there. And if she was going with someone.

"'Try' nothing," Angelus rolled his eyes. "She tripped some..." he gestured helplessly "thing. Then we're stuck down in some hole that's too deep for me to jump out of. And then - " belatedly, Angelus blinked, realizing something. He looked at Bel. "You didn't hear about what happened?"

"I somehow missed this," Belthazor said, grinning more than he probably should be at Angelus' discomfort. "So then what happened?"

"I have this innate sense I've missed the train on being able to end this story with the words 'absolutely nothing'."

"That train left the station long ago. C'mon, what happened?"

Angelus rolled his eyes heavenward. He wasn't sure why, really, as that'd never helped him before. "There might - and boy have you earned credit with me to even be hearing this - might have been lips."

"Mmm hmm," Belthazor said, suppressing a laugh. "Was there by chance tongue as well?"

Angelus covered his face with his hand. "I hate you. I hate her. I hate everyone. New plan for the weekend: I'm destroying the world again."

"It couldn't have been that bad," Belthazor said. "I mean, she's kinda hot, in a psycho bitch sort of way."

"No," Angelus dropped his hand, making a sharp gesture of finality. "No she is not. She is annoying, strident, obnoxious, a pain in the ass, no good, annoying - "

Now he couldn't help but laugh. "You totally sound like you're in love with her."
