Suite 518/520, Wednesday morning

After the kids had gone back through the Vortex and Phoebe had fled back to their room, Bel and Anders had followed and tried to comfort her about the loss of the children. They were still alive somewhere, back where they belonged, with the parents who loved them. And who knew, there might be a way to see them again sometime. They could even end up coming to school at Fandom High someday.

Phoebe had cried herself to sleep, nestled between Bel and Anders. Hours later, Bel slowly came awake. He was spooned against Phoebe's back, her head was on Anders's shoulder, and Bel's arm was over them both. Wednesday, right? He didn't have class, and he didn't think Phoebe did, but he wasn't sure about Anders. Either way, he was perfectly content to stay like this all morning.

Anders did, as it happened, have a first period class today, but he had no intention of moving in time to get to it. He missed his kids like hell, and he was comfortable, with his cheek resting against the top of Phoebe's head and one arm across the pillows so he could play with Bel's hair a little bit.

He made a soft whimpering sound and snuggled closer to both of them.

Seraphim jumped up into the bed, wanting to get in on the snuggles.

"Cat," Bel mumbled sleepily, trying to shrug him away as he pawed at Bel's face.

Phoebe opened her eyes and gestured for Seraphim to snuggle with them in a way that wouldn't disturb the little comfort zone they had going here.

"Kitty," Anders mumbled half-coherently, smiling just a bit.

"You're hogging the blankets," Bel mumbled, tugging them towards himself.

As Phoebe was in the middle, she wasn't worried about the blanket war and snuggled with the two of them as they fought over the blankets.

"Not hogging the blankets," grumbled Anders, nuzzling the top of Phoebe's head as he -- totally let Bel pull the blankets toward him.

Pushover.

Bel liked this easy victory, so he tried to claim the pillows, too.

Moving the pillows would mean that Phoebe was no longer comfortable.

"No stealing pillows," she grumbled, standing -- laying -- firm on the pillow issue.

"Noooooooo," Anders added, reaching over Phoebe to poke him in the side. "I'm cold now, don't take the pillows too."

Bel squirmed at being poked. "Stop it!" he grumbled sleepily.

Phoebe moved an arm behind her to wrap around him and pull him closer to her. "Don't steal pillows. You steal pillow, Anders moves. Then I am no longer comfy. If I am no longer comfy you are in big trouble."

She sounded so threatening... okay, maybe not.

Anders grinned goofily, his eyes still shut. "You guys're really comfy with me here?"

"You talk too much," Bel yawned.

Phoebe smirked and continued to snuggle with both of them, pulling them close so there was no cold or anything else to get in the way.

"That's his way of saying yes."

"'s good. 'm glad," Anders said, and yawned. He was still too sleepy to put a filter on his mouth, so before he could stop himself, he added faintly, "Love you guys."

Bel grunted unintelligibly.

Phoebe smiled but didn't say anything. The thing about being an empath with these two? You just knew.

Hey, she had Cole holding onto her and to Anders. She didn't need to say anything.

"Don't wanna go to class." Anders snuggled closer to Phoebe and started playing with Bel's hair again.

"Skip," Bel said, unconsciously relaxing against Anders's hand. "I'll write you a note."

"Can't leave," Phoebe nodded in agreement.

Yeah, like Anders had any resolve. As if any resolve of his would stand up to this, anyway. "'kay then. C'n we stay here all day?"

"Mmm hmm," Bel said, pressing closer against Phoebe and idly drawing his fingers along Anders's side. "Oh wait -- Dr. Wilson's party."

Phoebe was snuggling and had a hand that was moving along each of them in a possibly not dirty way.

"Can stay here until time for the party."

Because, she so was not moving right now.

Anders made a happy noise and put a little more effort into nuzzling and hair-playing-with. "I'm good with that."
