School grounds, Thursday afternoon

Bel was feeling restless for no good reason, so he'd wandered off by himself, walking around the school with no real purpose. He still had a couple months here, and he was reluctant to think about leaving at the end of summer. Leaving sucked. Other people leaving sucked. Not knowing what he wanted to do with himself when he left sucked. At least he had a real identity now in the outside world, thanks to Veronica and Phale, but that didn't help him figure out just what he was going to do with it. Go to college? Take courses in calculus or chemistry or psychology? Yeah, right.

With a sigh, he light a cigarette with a conjured fireball and leaned against the dorms, staring at the smoke like it would somehow reveal the answers.

"I recognize that tone of voice," Anders told him. "You're totally trying not to let on that you like it."

"You think you know me that well, huh?" Bel said.

"Not as well as I want to," Anders told him honestly. "But you get like that every time I try and get cute and schmoopy with you."

"I do not," Bel said reflexively.

"Do too." Anders leaned in to lick Bel's ear, and just to try and prove his point, drawled, "Love you . . . baby."

"You're just itching for me to kick your ass," Bel growled, pushing Anders away.

"Oh, I'm itching for you to do something to it, all right," Anders replied, grinning. "I think it's cute how you get growly when I say I love you."

"You like it when I'm 'growly' period," Bel said in a low voice.

"Damn right I do," Anders answered, running his hands down Bel's chest, and possibly a little bit lower. "It's frakkin' hot."

Bel hooked his fingers in the waistband of Anders's pants and yanked him closer, then kissed him hard.

Anders whimpered softly against Bel's lips and went along with the kiss very happily.

His hands may have been doing a little more wandering in a southward direction . . .

Bel looked quickly from side to side, then pushed Anders roughly up against the wall, trapping him there with his own body.

Anders pushed back, not so much to get away as just to enjoy the feel of Bel's body against his. His hands slid around to Bel's ass, pulling him closer, and he scraped Bel's lower lip with his teeth.

Bel growled softly (okay, maybe just because Anders thought it was hot). He deepened the kiss, grinding his body against Anders's.

Whatever his reasons, they sure as hell got a reaction out of Anders -- one that Bel could probably feel in several ways. One of Anders's hands made its way up Bel's back and into his hair as he writhed against him, moaning slightly into his mouth.

"Right here?" Bel whispered, moving his mouth to Anders's ear. "Or you wanna go inside?"

Anders briefly flashed back to New Year's Eve in the alley outside Caritas, with the Source. Knowing who it had been was kind of bothersome, but it had been hot, he couldn't deny that.

"Right here," he whimpered, tugging Bel insistently against him. He could always shimmer them somewhere private if anybody came by, right?

Bel made a soft rumble of approval, low in his throat. He caught Anders's wrists and pinned them against the wall as he kissed him and rocked against him.

The rumble made Anders moan again and grind his hips hungrily against Bel. "Love you," he managed between kisses. "Want you, now."

"Me, too," Bel breathed, letting go of one wrist so he could reach down and unfasten Anders's pants.

Anders, like a good boy, kept his wrists in place as he shifted to make Bel's job a little easier. "You too what?" he gasped.

"Want you," Bel murmured, giving what he'd uncovered a squeeze.

Not quite what he'd hoped to hear, but Anders wasn't arguing with the sentiment. "All yours, lover," he whispered, arching into Bel's hand.

"Mine," Bel growled. He pushed Anders's pants down over his hips, then leaned back to unzip his own jeans.
