Suite 518/520, Sunday morning

Bel yawned and stretched, then decided there was no reason to get up yet, particularly with warm snuggly bodies on either side of him. Last night had been just as active and enjoyable as the previous one, and he could probably actually use the extra sleep. Or, well, some sleep.

"I wish I could stay in bed forever," he murmured sleepily to no one in particular.

Ooops.

"Mmm hmm," Bel said. "But I'm hungry, too."

"Oh." Anders considered this, which took a lot longer than it might have if he'd been awake and alert. "So . . . get up, get food, and then come back to bed? Long as you come back."

"You get it," Bel said petulantly, shoving Anders lightly with his foot.

"You're the one who's hungry," pointed out Anders as he grunted, snuggled closer, and wrapped an arm very firmly around Bel. "Go . . . shimmer into the kitchen or something."

"Oh, all right," Bel grumbled. He tried to shimmer, but couldn't.

"Oh, right, like you suddenly just forgot how to shimmer," scoffed Anders. "I'm so not convinced to get up and get you food."

"I can't shimmer!" Bel said. He scrambled over Anders to try to get out of the bed, but it felt like there was some sort of invisible barrier there, and it pushed him back onto his back.

"Very funny." Anders shook his head. "You're cute when you're trying to be a comedian. Look, get up or stay in bed, one or the other, just quit goofing off so the rest of us can sleep."

"I'm serious!" Bel flailed. "Someone cast a spell or something on the bed. We can't get out of it!"

"Oh, for the love of . . ." Anders rolled his eyes, rolled over, and -- got out of bed just fine. "You know, it would've been easier to convince me to get you food with just a kiss and asking nicely."

Bel growled in frustration and tried to follow after Anders, once again bouncing off an invisible shield. Phoebe mumbled sleepily at the bouncing of the bed.

"You . . . seriously can't get out of the bed, can you?" asked Anders. "How the frak did that happen?"

Bel held out his hands to Anders. "I don't know! Try to pull me out," he said.

"Right. 'kay." Anders got a good grip on Bel's hands, braced his feet, and tugged. Hard.

Aaaaaaaaand that would be Bel, not moving at all, firmly planted on the bed.

"What the frak." It wasn't a question. "No, seriously. This is going a really long way just to get me to bring you food."

"I'm serious!" Bel flailed. "I can't get up! I can't shimmer!"

"Well," said Anders, crawling back onto the bed thanks to the instinctive urge to snuggle Bel because he was cute when he was flaily, "you did say you wished you could stay in bed forever."

"I didn't mean it literally!" Bel growled.

"I didn't think you did," Anders pointed out. "But something weird did, apparently?"

"Some random invisible force going around granting random wishes?" Bel said. He groaned and sank back down on the bed. "Only in Fandom."

"And we're not even surprised," added Anders, stretching out beside him again. "Well . . . on the bright side I guess this means plenty of quality bed time?"

"Might as well make good use of it, I suppose," Bel smirked. He looked over at Phoebe. "We should wait for Phoebe to wake up, first, though."

"Yeah, 's only fair," agreed Anders. He looked at Bel for a long moment, a slight, quizzical smile on his lips, then leaned over and kissed him. "And just 'cause I love you, I really will go get us some food in the meantime."
