Suite 518/520, Friday all day

Bel sighed and looked around the mostly empty living room. They'd packed up everything and he'd shimmered most of it to storage, some of it to Piper and Veronica's apartment, where he and Phoebe would be staying for awhile until they found a place of their own. What was left was mostly bags they'd carry with them, and the cats, of course, who were being remarkably calm about the whole thing.

He'd changed so much when he had come to this place. He'd been sent to learn to live among humans, and it had worked far too well. Raynor had never expected Belthazor to learn to love and care again. No one had expected him to become the Source of All Evil, except, perhaps, the Seer. He'd turned his back on the Underworld, he'd died, he'd been brought back to life. Not bad for two years.

He thought about everybody who had already left before him -- Angel, Piper, Veronica, Lindsey, Blair, Alanna, Nadia, Cally, and Marie -- and the people he was leaving behind, like Lana, Isabel, Phale and Wilson. And Anders. That was the hardest one of all.

This sucked.


[ooc: door and post are open, of course. This will be Bel's last dorm post. Slight bit of OCD for Phoebe and Anders, who likely won't be able to tag back until afternoon and evening respectively due to work. I believe it's okay for teachers/townies to come to the room to see them off; please ping me if I'm wrong and we'll do a townie post set later in the day.

"Good. Have you given any thought to what you're going to study?" she asked, remembering her conversation with Wyatt.

Isabel rolled her eyes. "I can give you the number of a tutor if you need it.'

"Do I need to invest in hairgel first?" Bel asked.

"It's a course requirement," she laughed.

Bel snickered. "Guess I'd better stock up, then," he said.

"You better," Isabel agreed. "There's been shortages in California for the last year. They can't explain it."

Bel had to pause to think. "What would he do if we bought up all the hairgel in LA?"

"Flail. There would definitely be flailing," she said firmly.

"The forces of darkness better never find out his secret weakness," Bel said. "Fortunately, I don't have anything like that."

"Lucky you," Isabel agreed, frowning a bit. "I expect phone calls. And emails."

"Definitely," Bel said. "And . . . I'm really glad you came back."

She looked down as the guilt she couldn't quite get over flared once more. "It's good to be back."

Bel reached out and put his hand on her shoulder. "What happened?" he asked quietly. "I kept meaning to stop by when you got back, but with all the packing and making plans to go. . . ."

"I made contact, but they said stay here, it's not safe," she shrugged. "So here I am." At least that's the short simple version.

"Anything I can do?" Bel said, not pressing for details if she didn't want to give them.

"Figure out how to shimmer to a planet most of the way across the galaxy?" Isabel said, mostly joking.

"Might take a little practice, but you'll be the first to know when I can do it," Bel said. "I mean, I can shimmer across dimensions, what's space compared to that?"

"You're just looking to make the whole cosmic taxi thing literal aren't you?" she asked, touched by the offer.

"Maybe that's how I can make my living now," Bel said with a grin. "Although for you, no charge."

"Maybe, although it's a bit risky. Some people might not cope well with the whole demon thing." Isabel was pretty certain the FBI would rate demons right up there with aliens as a threat.

"Yeah, true," Bel agreed. "I'll definitely keep that part under wraps."

"Yeah, I've already done one rescue mission from the FBI. I'd like to avoid another," she told him.

"I will do my best to stay out of any sort of trouble that needs rescuing from," Bel said. "Phoebe already gave me and Anders an earful about going to the Underworld."
