The Hyperion, Saturday Morning

As Bel began to wake up, he realized he was warm. Well, as a demon he was always warm, but when it was a vampire who was in your bed, they tended to leech the heat away. Not only was he warm, but there was more than one body in the bed with him. His memory was foggy enough that he couldn't remember exactly whom he'd slept with last night. Veronica? Lindsey? Tyler? All three? Not that he discriminated much about sharing his bed. Whoever it was, they must've left to feed and returned. Hence the warmth.

He opened his eyes, but it didn't register right away that there was a window in the room, and sunlight was streaming through the curtains. Instead he was staring at the woman curled against him. The other occupant of the bed was forgotten in his shock. It wasn't possible.

"Phoebe!" he said, pulling her into his arms as she made a sleepy noise of protest. She was alive. He didn't understand or care how, but she was alive.


[For the other occupants of the bed. Up early in case I sleep late. In case?]

"I'm here," she whispered between his kisses. "I'm here." She held onto him, doing her best to keep him calm.

Keeping him with them like this for the weekend would be a good thing -- if this latest bout of weirdness ran the same way as other Fandom weirdness.

He didn't want to be calm. The demon in him was roaring at him to claim Phoebe, make sure she and everyone else knew that she belonged to him. Whatever gentleness he'd learned before her death had been lost in years of blood and violence, and he continued to kiss her roughly as he pushed her down on the bed.

It had never been a secret that Phoebe never minded rough sex when it came to Cole. However, this was not her Cole and the demon was a lot stronger with this one than she was used to feeling.

What she did know is that she had to keep things calm because she wasn't sure what would happen if his demon realized she was starting to get scared. What she also knew is that she had to get Anders out of the room and out of what could turn into harm's way.

Keeping a tight hold on Cole, she turned her head slightly to look at Anders.

"Anders, maybe you should go check on the rest of the place while I take care of Cole?"

She could tell that he really didn't like this idea, but he also didn't argue with her on it. She'd make sure to explain later.

Once Anders was dressed and safely out of the room, she turned her full attention back to Cole and kissed him.

"Good, we don't need him here," Bel said. He might have to find him later and see what the blood whore had to offer, but right now all he wanted was Phoebe. He kissed her neck then began to move down her body. Sometimes he'd pretend that Veronica or one of the other vamps was Phoebe, but it was never the same as the comfort he found in her arms.

Phoebe was relieved that Anders had gone to check on the rest of their friends, because now she could focus all of her attention and her empathy on Cole.

"Just the two of us here," she murmured, shivering a little as he kissed her. She could feel his need and she tightened her arms around him as much as she could.

"I don't care how this happened," Bel murmured, his hands roaming over every inch of her. "But I'm never letting go of you again."

Veronica was going to be pissed, but she'd have to deal.

"It's all right, love," she reassured him, in between kissing him. "It's all right. I'm safe and I'm not going anywhere."

Veronica could go pound sand.

"No one's ever going to take you from me again," Bel said, a low growl in his voice. "I won't let them. I'll kill anyone who tries to touch you."
