Phoebe had spent last night in the Attic with her sisters, as neither of them knew when their respective parents were going to be leaving, so Belthazor spent a restless night alone, replaying the evening's events in his head. His mother's visit had gone pretty much as he had expected. He saw her rarely, but when he did, she never failed to remind him of her disgust with her half-human son. Raynor had more faith in him, but the mission to find and destroy the Charmed Ones had disturbed him. Were there any other three sister witches at the school other than Phoebe, Piper, and Paige? Add that to Phoebe's power of premonition and Piper's of stopping time...if Paige had telekinesis, then it could only mean....

No. Paige was a whitelighter, not a true witch, right? If they were the Charmed Ones, it must be Prue who was the third. And she wasn't at the school, so the Power of Three would not be activated. He wouldn't have to kill Phoebe or her sisters.

And bad enough that his mother had humiliated him in front of Beka, but Angelus too? He should have said something to her, but then he would've been called back to the Underworld and punished for his insolence, maybe even killed. He wasn't strong enough to defy her. Yet. Being practically sold off to Angelus was a relief.

The kiss with Beka was also on his mind. He didn't feel guilty about the act itself, because it had been to protect Phoebe and trick Raynor and Elizabeth. No, the guilt was because it was a good kiss. But he knew he had to find Phoebe and explain it to her before she heard about it from the rumor mill. He went over Phoebe's schedule in his head and tried to remember where she would be at this time of day, then left his room and went in search of her.
