Phoebe's squeal of happiness could probably be heard all throughout the fourth floor. She sccops up both of the kittens in her arms and nuzzles them.

Cole shimmered in behind Phoebe and wrapped his arms around her. "Saw you playing with the puppies in study hall and thought you could use a couple of furry friends to cheer you up," he said, grinning happily.

Phoebe turns in his arms and kisses him. "Thank you, love. This is a wonderful surprise."

Does not ask if they are demon kittens.

The black kitten scrambled up Cole's chest and sat on his shoulder.

"What are you going to name them?" Cole asked Phoebe.

Maybe one's an angel, one's a demon.

Phoebe smiles at the black one and nuzzles the white kitten she was holding.

"I was thinking of calling the black one Seraphim and the white one Valkyrie."


Oh now that would be fun.

"Seraphim and Valkyrie it is then," Cole said. "And litter box duty is all yours."
