"I know. But I can't not show up. My testimony can help get him thrown in prison forever. Besides, I never told my dad about any of that stuff. I have to do this."

"You gonna need someone to watch your back while you're there?" Bel asked.

"No, my dad will be there and a number of armed deputies. Besides, he wouldn't try anything in front of the cameras that will no doubt be there. But thanks."

"What time do you want to be there then?" Bel said. "You can just give me a call when you want to come back."

"Leave around 10 our time tomorrow morning?" Veronica asked. "That's 7 out there and will give me time to shower and change since I'm almost out of clean clothes. Thank God I left some stuff in my closet."
