Suite 518/520, Thursday morning

At some point late last night, Bel had staggered back to his room, crawled into bed, and collapsed. Come morning his head was still spinning just a little, and he was disappointed to see Phoebe had snuck off to class. He was also confused -- what had gotten into him last night? He didn't giggle. Okay, maybe when Phoebe was tickling him, but definitely not like he had been last night. One thing he was sure of was that there was no such thing as a demonic giggling power that he could've absorbed in the Wastelands. That was ridiculous.

There were other reasons he was feeling confused (and somewhat excited) this morning, but he didn't know that yet. So for now he decided to stay in bed until he had good reason to get out of it. Maybe he could train the cats to bring him food.

Phoebe came back from class and pounced on Cole with a grin.

She wrapped her arms around him.

"I am so glad to see you are still a guy!"

Cole blinked lazily at Phoebe. "Of course I am," he said. "Want to see?"

Cole wriggled around in the bed under Phoebe until he managed to pull the blankets off himself. He hadn't bothered to get dressed. "See?" he said.

Phoebe hugged him tightly. "Oh thank god!"

Cole gave her a puzzled look. "Why are you so concerned about it?" he asked.

"A lot of the guys in Fandom have been turned into girls," Phoebe explained. "Most of the guys in my Folklore class have been turned into girls -- including my nephew, Chris."

"Turned into girls?" Cole repeated. "How the hell did that happen?"

Phoebe shrugged. "I don't know... but I was worried I was going to come back here and you were going to be a girl instead of my Cole."

After talking to Jim, Blair figured he knew one other person who would be upset at being turned into a girl. So he headed upstairs and knocked on Bel's door.

Grumbling, Bel disentangled himself from Phoebe and answered the door, wrapped in a sheet. He looked at the girl at the door in confusion. "Who are you?"

Blair looked at Bel and blushed a little. "Well, I guess that answers my question. You are still a guy."

"Umm, yeah," Bel said, peering at the girl. "So who are you supposed to be? Don't tell me you're Anders."

"I'm Blair, man." She reached up to tug on a lock of curly hair and then bounced. "Isn't this cool?"

"Blair?" Bel suddenly remembered running into Annette last night. "You did grow breasts!"

Blair looked down at his chest and cupped a breast for a moment. "Well...it's not like I grew them or anything. They were just there this morning."

"Did I mention how cool this is?"

"You don't think it's kinda freaky or anything?" Bel said.

It was shortly after certain exploratory missions had been embarked upon that an annoyed-looking Anders stalked up to the fifth floor and banged on the door.

"Would you two knock it off already?!?"

What the hell. . . ? Bel stormed to the door and yanked it open. "What is your problem?" he snapped.

Too bad he hadn't bothered to grab some clothes.

"Oh, for --" Okay, so it wasn't like Anders hadn't seen that sight quite a few times before. Still. Trying very, very hard not to look right now, thanks, because hi there, and hi there from other parts of his own anatomy, and all of that could only spell DOOM.

"Gah!" he yelped, flailing. "Put that away, will you? And I mean it! Do you two ever stop?"

Phoebe grabbed a robe to wrap around herself and followed Cole to the door. "Anders?"

"Phoebe," Anders said, looking pitiful, "honest, I know you're glad he's back and everything, but I've gotta sleep sometime . . ."

Bel grabbed a convenient afghan from the couch and wrapped it around his waist. "Okay, look," he said to Anders. "I know things are weird with what happened with you and me . . . and you and Phoebe . . . but you have to get over this weird obsession."

"Hard to get over it when I know what you're up to," Anders grumbled. Stupid afghan. "I had my tongue just about down Annette's throat in class yesterday morning because of you."
