The Mighty Belthazor

Pip ran from his point at the wall and shoulder tackled the demon as he tried to push it further off balance and down into the ground. "Somebody cut off the damn thing's head!"

The demon went down with a heavy thunk and a growl.

"I am a river, I flow I bend."

Pippi doesn't appear to hear Pip.

"I am a blade of grass." she steps forward trying to pin down the demon's thigh.

"I am not angry." she gives the leg a yank as hard as she can. Both listening for, and dreading, the inevidable wet, slurpy, popping sound.

Aaaand that was his leg off. At the knee, anyway. The demon howled and thrashed.

John tackled the thing with one hand, slashing at the torso/head with the other. His grasp on the thing's arm wasn't the most solid thing. "Help me hold it!

Ivanova descended on the thing, trying to hold it down as well as she could as it struggled. "Hurry up and kill the damn thing," she ground out. "I'm not the heaviest paperweight here."

Pip grunted. "Well, if no one else is going to bloody do it!" He pulled out another large knife and raced around to the thing's head. Kneeling down, he started hacking away at it's neck.

Her foot still on what was left attached to the body, Pippi tossed the leg aside as if it were a bit of laundry.

She knelt down with her knee in his kidney.

"Tilt his head back please Pip." she asked quietly.

When he does ~~described with permission~~ she brings her saber down in a swift slice.

John did a low sweep kick and punted the severed head down the passageway. "WHY. WON'T. YOU. JUST. DIE?!"

The demon? Not such a good listener.

Of course, that might have to do with its head being somewhere down the passageway.

It continued to flail. And its neck began to bubble and writhe as its head started regenerating.

Ivanova grabbed one of John's abandoned machetes and hacked at whatever she could get at, swearing in choppy Russian as she tried her very best to disembowel the demon.

Bloodthirsty? No. Repressed? Maybe a bit.

Pip glanced over at the progressively less floppy arm and rushed over with his knives, hacking away at the regenerating flesh until the arm came off.

Pippi looked down at the headless flopping body and sighed.

"Couldn't possibly have been that easy could it?" she asked nobody in particular.

Smaller and smaller pieces seemed to be the only recourse.

"I can do this. I've carved a chicken before."

Just like taking a drumstick off.

She took her foot off the thigh and turned with her knee still on the demon's kidney... Or where it would be if demons had kidneys.

She took the thigh with both hands and wrenched it around and back until she heard the same pop of the leg comming free of the socket.

John took several two-handed slices, cutting the torso in twain. It still moved.

"We need some fire!"

"Fire?" Ivanova grunted. "Didn't work last time." She spun the machete around in one hand, an automatic move if she would have had her staff in her hand, and sliced into the demon's leg. A few hacks got her to the bone. Another hack severed it. She could have kept slicing, but that wasn't nearly as much fun as setting her foot in the cut as she sat on the remnants of its torso and kicked.

She panted.

"Damn, I think I ruined my shoes . . ."

The demon finally stopped twitching. And regenerating.

In fact, it melted into a puddle of red goo.

That was never going to come out of their clothes.

Pip sighed as he put his knives away. "Green slime, red goo... I need a fuckin' shower."
