Western Fandom Island, Friday night

After a trek to the western portion of Fandom Island, Our Heroes reached the entrance to some old sea caverns. There were several tunnels heading off in different directions. Bel was fairly certain which one led to his mother; she was really making no attempt to hide. But there were other demons lying in wait down the side tunnels as well, and they couldn't afford to have them come up behind them.

"Okay," Bel said, trying to be all leader-like. "Group one is Cam, Molly, and Alanna. You take the tunnel on the far left. Group two is Bridge, Isabel, Walter and Camulus. You take the tunnel to the near left. Group three takes the right hand tunnel and is John, Ivanova, Pip and Pippi. Angel, Piper, Paige, and I are going down the middle. We'll meet up back here. Is everyone all set?"

Molly stepped over the body and took the lead again. "Any guesses on how many demons are in here?"

The demon listened to the footfalls of the kids walking away and pushed himself into a seated position. He needed a moment to re-group from the wounds that had been inflicted upon him. Besides, it would be more of a surprise if he let them get more of a head start.

"Hopefully? They'll all be as easy as the guy back there." Alanna turned to Cam. "I can see that you failed. If you get a spare moment in the near future, bother me and I'll fence with you."

Cameron blinked as he got the hint. "Sure, thanks. That sounds cool."

Strength regained, the demon shimmered behind the boy and grabbed him with his handless arm, much the same way as he had grabbed the girl.

He quickly summoned a large energy ball and held it next to the boy's face. "I don't like it when people stab me," he hissed.

Spinning in place when she heard the voice, Molly froze when she saw the demon holding Cam. She was too far away. There was nothing she could do.

"Alanna?" she said calmly and quietly. "Please tell me there is something you can do."

"Um." Alanna blinked at the demon. She concentrated for a moment and a rather large ball of purple light formed in her hand. She threw it straight at the demon.

At the same time, Cameron used the annoying stomp as hard as you can on their foot trick and drove his elbow in the demon's side.

The demon flinched as the boy's elbow hit his side, but he managed to fling him away and send him hurtling towards the wall.

He threw his energy ball so it met the ball of purple light coming at him in mid air, where they both dissipated.

As soon as he threw Cam to the side, Molly charged straight for the demon.

Cameron hit the wall with an 'umph' and fell to his knees, sword clanging to the ground. Quickly grabbing for it in the dark, he pushed back to his feet and turned to see how Molly and the demon were doing.

The demon fell to the ground as the girl hit him full force. He lay stunned, surprised by her power.

Molly fell with the demon as she slammed into him. Landing on top of him, she began to pummel the demon to keep him from getting up again.

"You. Need to. Die. Now," she said as she hit him.

Alanna swung her sword a few times at the demon before. Her third strike took his head cleanly off.

As soon as Alanna took it's head off, the demon disappeared in a poof. Molly sat on the floor of the tunnel and looked over at Cam. Satisfied to see him standing, she got up off the floor and headed further down the tunnel.

"Hopefully if there are more, we'll be able to kill them the same way. Only without the getting up again part," she said.

The trio eventually reached a dead end, encountering no other demons on the way. So, they turned around and headed back to regroup with the others.
