Las Vegas, Saturday night

After the Dr. Kairo and Penn & Teller shows they'd had to go to to fulfill the academic requirements for the trip, Bel waited outside the Tangiers main entrance for Anders, Blair, and Dean to join him. He was finishing a cigarette and checked his pockets for the tickets to tonight's show at the Stratosphere: "Bite," "an erotic and sensual topless review based on deliciously evil vampires with a simple story line of sin, sex and seduction." No way he could pass that up while they were there. He'd told Dean the truth about the show, but he kept it a surprise for Anders and certainly hadn't told Blair about it, claiming they were going to investigate a local cult of vampires.

Bel snickered to himself. This was going to be fun.

Blair was here, jotting down questions he wanted to ask the vampires in a notebook.

"Notes...questions." Blair said absently, scratching down another few words before looking up at Bel. "I want to be prepared."

Anders came back from his little excursion for more cigarettes -- and a hip flask-like bottle of whiskey -- and smirked at Bel. Yes, after this morning he was just going to keep smirking. "So. We all prepared?"

Anders pulled a cigarette from the pack and drew the length of it slowly between his fingers before putting it in his mouth and lighting it. "I can definitely say you were too."

Dean joined the group. "We ready to go?" he asked with a lacivious grin.

"You tell the others where we're going yet?" Dean asked, lowering his voice.

"Anders knows we're seeing a show," Bel said. "Blair, well, he thinks we're investigating a vampire cult in the area." He grinned oh-so-not-innocently.

Dean glanced over at Blar. "Y'know, he's probably the only person you could use that story on and not have them show up loaded for bear."

Bel grinned. "He'd never come if I told him the truth," he said. "Now, we all ready? Let's go."

The Stratosphere was about five blocks from the Tangiers Hotel. Five long blocks, but it was a cool night so the walk wasn't bad. Bel led them to the hotel tower and stopped at the entrance to the show. "Here we are," he said.

Anders raised an eyebrow at the marquee, and that smirk came back.

"Ha!"

"The ritual has a sign?" Blair turned to frown at Bel.

"Yeah," Bel said. "They, uh, hiding in plain sight. Who would look for vampires pretending to be vampires, right?"

"Yeah, if they were pretending to not be vampires, now that would be suspicious." Dean was trying very hard not laugh out loud.
