The Mighty Belthazor

Alanna let out a deep breath, unsheated Lightning and followed Cameron. As an after thought, she raised her left hand and formed a purple light ball.

Molly was grateful for the light that spilled over her shoulders. It let her see ahead without totally ruining her night vision. She walked forward slowly, watching for any movement from the shadows.

The demon slipped out of the shadows and laughed when he saw the little girls.

"Belthazor has girls fighting for him?" he snickered. "This will be easier than I expected."

He summoned an energy ball and threw it at the girl nearest him.

Molly saw the energy ball coming toward her and stood her ground. Her hair might not appreciate it, but she knew she could take the blast. Her eyes flared pink right before the ball struck. The hand-sized ball struck her full in the chest and she flinched ever so slightly as the electricity dissipated across her skin.

Molly seemed to be alright and Cameron quickly slipped past her. Sword up as he hoped the demon was distracted enough.

"I am not a girl," Cameron grumbled as he charged at the demon. And yes, he was totally aware that at Fandom that meant he was most likely to get his ass kicked.

Alanna tossed her light ball over Cam's and Molly's heads and at the demon. "Girls. Pfft." She swung Lightning at the demon to help Cam not get killed.

The demon was surprised that the first girl was able to withstand the blast of the energy ball. He was even more surprised when the other girl and the boy drew swords.

He shimmered out and reappeared behind the boy.

Since the others had moved past her, Molly saw where the demon had shimmered to. "Cam! Behind you!" she yelled and moved toward him.

Cameron swivelled around, but the demon was too close to him to get in a decent hit. He ended up hitting out at its side with just the hilt.

The demon took the hit and laughed again. "You call that a hit?" he taunted, summoning another energy ball.

Alanna twirled around and swung Lightning in a neat arc at the demon's energy ball holding wrist.

The demon's wrist, still holding the energy ball, fell to the ground.

He looked at it in shock before turning on the girl with the sword.

"You little bitch," he hissed, shimmering behind the unarmed girl and snaking his handless arm around her throat, summoning an energy ball in his good hand and holding it close to her head.

"Don't you fucking dare," Cameron growled as he aimed the point of his sword at the demon and moved further away from Alanna hoping to divide its attention.

"Who's going to stop me?" the demon snarled, moving the energy ball so it was almost singing the girl's hair.

With one hand, Molly reached up to the arm around her throat and began to pull. She grabbed the demon's other wrist and began to push.

"That would be me," Molly said.

When she loosened his grasp enough, she ducked out of his hold and flipped him over her head.

Alanna took aim and pierced the demon's heart with Lightning. "That's going to be a pain to clean." She pulled her sword out.

Cameron had charged at the demon at the same time as Alanna. His aim was slightly less effective as he pierced his side.

"I'd say," he replied as he pulled his sword out as well and nudged the demon with a toe to make sure it wasn't moving.

"You alright?" He asked Molly because he had to.

"Yup!" Molly grinned at him. "That was pretty effective. I love playing bait. They always fall for it." She looked back and forth between Alanna and Cam. "Should we keep going?"

Alanna pointed at Cam's sword with her own. "Cam, how long have you been practicing with that?"

"Uh? Not enough," he blushed and turned to head further down the caves. "I followed fencing classes at my previous school but sorta failed."

Molly stepped over the body and took the lead again. "Any guesses on how many demons are in here?"

The demon listened to the footfalls of the kids walking away and pushed himself into a seated position. He needed a moment to re-group from the wounds that had been inflicted upon him. Besides, it would be more of a surprise if he let them get more of a head start.

"Hopefully? They'll all be as easy as the guy back there." Alanna turned to Cam. "I can see that you failed. If you get a spare moment in the near future, bother me and I'll fence with you."
